The Black Country Chamber of Commerce has welcomed leading manufacturer of equipment for the international metal forming industry, Bowers & Jones to its Platinum Group.

The Platinum Group is the Black Country Chamber of Commerce’s exclusive platform which sees senior leaders come together to tackle the challenges which impact their organisation and to explore opportunities to improve the region’s prospects.

Serving more than 300 customers across the UK, North America, Europe, and beyond, Bowers & Jones are world leaders in the design, manufacture and refurbishment of roll tooling and rolling mill products.

The business specialises in the manufacture of tools used to roll long products such as welded and seamless tube and pipe, steel sections and complex copper extrusions. More recently, rolls are used in the manufacture of non-steel applications including electrical conduction and heating cable.

Bowers & Jones was named the winner the Manufacturing & Engineering category at the Black Country Chamber Awards 2024 as well as receiving commendations in the International Trade and Business of the Year categories.
