The awards, now in their 15th year, are organised by the Insider Media news brand to highlight the most innovative and dynamic manufacturers and recognise those achieving excellence across a range of disciplines.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday 9 April at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel, Birmingham.
In November, Bowers & Jones was crowned the winner of the Manufacturing & Engineering category at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards.
The company also received commendations in the International Trade and Business of the Year categories, recognising its consistent revenue growth and profitability, innovative products and services, positive workplace culture, high customer satisfaction levels, and strategic vision.
Bowers & Jones Managing Director Jane Sommerville stated: “As a traditional Black Country manufacturer, we are honoured to be recognised with two finalist placings.
“Our shortlisting at the Made in the Midlands awards reflects our commitment to manufacturing excellence and the dedication of our team. We congratulate all of the finalists and look forward to the awards ceremony in April.”
Serving more than 300 customers across the UK, North America, Europe and beyond, Bowers & Jones is a world leader in the design, manufacture and refurbishment of roll tooling and rolling mill products.
The business specialises in the manufacture of tools used to roll long products such as welded and seamless tube and pipe, steel sections and complex copper extrusions. More recently, rolls are used in the manufacture of non-steel applications including electrical conduction and heating cable.
Originally established in 1955, Bowers & Jones was acquired by Jane Sommerville and Nicola Owen in 2020 and is growing on the back of four years of turnover growth, with significant growth set to continue with new contracts secured in the USA.
